It's that time of year again where we start putting our LVDA Adult teams together and start planning for our team competitions.   Want to join in on the fun and be part of one of our teams?

Team Interest Form!   We are looking to start filling the teams early so we have plenty of time to prepare for the competitions, so don't delay, send your form in now!


This year we have two competitions coming up in the fall.    Bucks County Horse Park Recognized Show with Team Competitions and the Potomac Valley Dressage Association Recognized Show with Team Competitions.    Watch for more information to come on these competitions. 

2021 Adult Team Policies




LVDA Adult Teams may compete in one or all of the current year's team competitions

This year's competitions TBD:



  • A Team consists of up to 4 principal riders

  • A Team may be in a specific level, for example, all 4 riders at Training Level

  • A Team may be in mixed levels, for example, 3 Intro riders and 2 Training Level riders

  • A Rider/Horse combination can participate on only 1 Team in a competition

  • A Rider may participate in more than 1 Team on a "different" horse

  • Per USDF rules the rider must achieve a minimum of 22 years of age in the 2021 competition year

  • The teams must follow the Region 1 and the Competition Host's rules


Rider Qualifications:

  • Rider/Horse combination may not have competed in any competition at two levels beyond the intended Team Level.

  • Rider must provide a copy of a test score sheet of the Rider/Horse combination from the most recent competition within 2020 up to present

  • A minimum average score is not required for 2021 Adult Teams

  • 8 LVDA volunteer hours are required to participate on a team, hours may be ‘active working’ or ‘supporting’ but may not be ‘donated’

  • The LVDA records for Volunteer hours will be used for verification


Team Fund Raising

  • The team members will actively participate in fundraising activities

  • The team will identify team needs for which the funds will be raised, for example, team jackets, refreshments, stall decorating supplies, or other items as identified by the teams

  • The collective team will set a fundraising budget


Individual Team Member Fundraising

  • Each team member will be responsible for obtaining a minimum of $100 worth of funds raised via any of the fundraising activities or methods:  ie. fundraising or obtaining sponsors


The Adult Team Committee will not hire a coach for the Adult Teams in 2021


The Adult Team Committee will have a Chef d'Equipe for both Adult Team Competitions
